7 Satisfying Streaming Shows to Binge Quickly

There’s always a show that your mom, co-worker or barista says you just have to watch. But no matter how much hype you hear, it takes a lot of effort to dive into one, especially if it’s something that involves a lot of time and emotional investment (looking at you, The Sopranos and Game of Thrones). And who among us doesn’t find themselves overwhelmed clicking through all the streaming options out there?  It’s easier to re-watch The Office for the eighth time or get sucked into 6 mindless back-to-back episodes of Too Hot To Handle

But wait - you’re missing out on some really good binge watching. Think small: Look for short, compelling shows that only last a season or two. They’re satisfying to finish, especially when you add some fun cannabis products in the mix. Ahead, seven quick binges we’re really into and what to consume while watching. 

The Show: Maniac

Why to Watch: As a mind-bending fantasy, Maniac is a wild ride made for the sci-fi fan. Emma Stone and Jonah Hill encapsulate different personas daily as they try to understand who they really are while undergoing a futuristic, therapy-like scenario. Make sure you are as cozy as possible on the couch for this madness.

Tack on a powerful soundtrack, craftful cinematography, and Snowfall will be your new go-to.

Featuring Amy Adams as a troubled reporter who returns home to investigate the disappearance of two local girls, the mini series is packed with strategically placed little details and offers a raw look at how family dysfunction spans the generations. 

The Pairing: MedMen Red Blackjack

Sharp Objects requires the viewer to be engaged as Amy Adams carefully combs through the madness in her hometown so a sativa-dominant flower to keep your attention. This one offers focus without requiring too much cerebral effort.  

The Show: Mindhunter

Why to Watch:  Fans of true crime will love this series which follows the FBI’s Behavioral Science Unit as they interview the most infamous murderers of our time. Starring Jonathan Groff, Anna Torv and Holt McCallany, this David Fincher-directed series is a fascinating look into the psychology of a serial killer.
